One hundred and fifty eight sediment samples (138 by Day Grab and 20 by Multi- corer) were collected from the Fladen Ground in 2001 as part of an assessment of the impact of oil exploration and production in this potentially accumulative area of the North Sea and to compare the hydrocarbon composition and concentrations with those determined in sediments collected during previous surveys in the area.
