Descrição/Abstract
The 2010 helicopter game census was initially planned for August/September utilizing A Robinson 44 type helicopter. Due to delays in approvals the census only started on the12th November, after 35mm of rain. This resulted in a green flush of the Mopane as well as a sudden, large supply and wide distribution of water. Due to the nature of the work, the large areas to be flown, high temperatures and crew required, a Bell 206 Jet ranger helicopter was used. This was integral to the success of the operation.
