Descrição/Abstract
The occurrence of an impact can be properly assessed through the implementation of a Before-After/ Control (Reference)-Impact (BACI) approach. This method aims to estimate a variable’s value before and after the impact, comparing its changes against a control site without impact. It allows taking into account the stochastic variables that cannot be controlled during the monitoring programme.
